It is better for one to be taught how to fish than to be giving a fish. If one is giving a fish, it is food for a day, but if one is taught how to fish one can feed oneself for life.

Puzzle for Skill Developers
A man woke up one morning to find that one of the wheels of his car had a completely flat tire. Despite this he set off in his car and drove 100 miles to visit a friend. He then drove 100 miles home. He did not repair or inflate the flat tire. How did he manage to make the journey?

The Atlanta Select Basketball Association celebrates its third anniversary on October 23, 2008. The ATL Select was organized in 2005 with five teams. Since that time the organization has grown to 30 boys and girls teams that have won over 200 trophies and 10 national championships. The organization continues to stress three concepts and treat these concepts as equals; Education, Life Skills and Sports. We would like to thank the many student athletes, parents and friends that have and continue to support our organization. Our goal is to make the 2008-9 season the best ever.

ON FIRE!! Congrates to Coach Tyrell and the 15u girls (red) team who played in the "Cream of The Crop Exposure Tournament" Oct. 3-5th in Kennesaw. They won 5 out of 6 tough games and went on to win the Championship on Sunday. These girls were skilled, scrappy and poised under pressure when down by ten or more in two games and came back to win. I'm looking forward to watching these young ladies in future tournaments.
