The coach said the time is now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6'3 195 pounds power forward freshman Brandon black who plays JV for Jonesboro high school started the season out  a little slow due to an injury that cause him to have surgery that put him out of sports for about three months. If you would please keep in mind that Brandon played with this injury for the last two months of his AAU season, which  would include a trip to the D1 nationals in Orlando,Fl. However, Brandon is back on track, in his last performance he lead his team with some very intense defense,17 rebounds 7 of these where offensive, and he topped it off with  21 points to give his team the victory. Brandon is a key player of the 15u team white whom I look forward to having big things out of him during the up coming season. Therefore, when you see the mighty 15u team white this up coming season remember never fade the (Black).

Javan McBurrows, Forward Arabia Mountain H.S.
Javan came to the game Saturday with not only a new attitude but also a new "do". Mr. McBurrows shaved his short 'fro and came with a bald head that  looked as aggressive as his rebounding. Javan pulled 4 "monster" defensive rebounds in his close to 4 minutes of playing time. Javan played aggressively, boxing out and initiating the required (and needed) physical play underneath the basket.
Mr. McBurrows is growing into a great defensive player who knows exactly what C.A.R.S. stands for. Confident, Aggressive, Relentless, Synergy!

Bakari Copeland represented Atlanta Select & the Arabia mountain Rams to the fullest in his efforts vs. Chamblee Saturday afternoon.
Bakari came in off the bench to score 10 points in the first half. At halftime the Arabia mountain Rams had 18 points on the board respectfully. For some unknown reason Bakari was only allotted 2 minutes of play in the entire second half.   The Rams lost by 23 points when the scoring dropped to a trickle in the second half.
Good work Bakari, keep your head up and continue to work hard.

Player Bakari Copeland Arabia Mountain J.V. Guard played an effective game vs. Avondale H.S. 12/3/2009. Although Arabia Mountain was defeated by Avondale by 4 points, Bakari contributed 4 points, 3 assists & 1 blocked shot.
Arabia Mountain was down by 9 points in the 4th quarter when the coach substituted 5 players, sending in Bakari and 4 teammates with 5 minutes left in the quarter. Bakari and his squad defensively shut down Avondale allowing only 4 points in the last 5 minutes.
Bakari has shown massive improvement on Defense and aggression on offense. Arabia Mountain has aquired an effective Guard & role player in Bakari Copeland and can look forward to his contributions this season.
 Keep up the good work.

Great job rookie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the pass two weeks Juquan peeples of the select 15u White  who plays point guard has perform at top select level. Juquan plays varsity for his high school team Montgomery co. High school of the southeast district. In there first two games they have taking down two power house teams. In the first game against West Laurens High school, Juqaun came off the bench and gave his team a 12 point boost with an outstanding defense, 3 rebounds, and 5 assist and only one turn over which includes two free throws to tie the game with only a min left they went on to win the game buy two.

Vidalia High vs Montgomery

The rookie Juquan peeples came off the bench and produce a 10 point boost and a intense defense, 2 assit and 3 rebounds. This was a very good game in the first half but in the end Juquan and his team put them away by 13 points. The rookie point guard has started the season off great and I look forward big things coming out of him in the up coming AAU season. Keep playing select ball rookie.
