Fish's Model Middle School Team (3-1) beat their arch-rival Coosa Eagles last night 50-23. Fish played Point/Wing/Post depending on the needs of the team and had 14 points - 7 assists - 8 rebounds- 3 steals. He only played 3 quarters as the subs played the 4th quarter. It was 46-15 when he and the other 8th graders went out He is averaging approximately 10 points - 10 assists - 10 rebounds and his goal is to play a balanced game because his team needs a triple-double from him to win each night.

Comments: We do what we do..we shine Once again Bakari Copeland represented Arabia Mountain High School and Atl Select and proves that Atlanta Select's Skills development training pays off. The starting five was pulled out of the game with the score @ 8-0. A new 5 was inserted including Bakari Copeland. Mr. Copeland showed no fear and took it straight to the hole... 3 x's, 3 fouls. Bakari remained focused at the Free-throw line and shot 5 for 6, reducing the deficit to 3 points. Bakari added and additional six points scoring with 2 3 pointers. Defensively young Mr. Copeland had 2 blocked shots. One was an exciting come from behind block preventing 2 fast break points!. Mr. Copeland hustled each minute on the floor and contributed 11 pts, 2 blocks, 3 assists. Great all around effort Mr. Copeland, stay focused and "let your light so shine that they may see your good works and glorify your father in Heaven."

Comments: The young one.......................
6'2 165 pounds shooting guard Marquise Lanier plays for bay creek middle school. For the last two years he has played up on the 15 under team white and it has paid off, if you don't belive me just call his coaches at Bay Creek middle School. In Marquise last performance he was all over the court offense and defense. Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this kid really gets after it. He lead his team with 9 asst 2 block shots, 8 rebounds and 26 points, and at the end of the game he came to me and said coach I could have did better. I have been following this kid for the last two years and he is harder on himself than any coach could ever be.And each year he gets bigger and bigger and more aggressive. He my be the young one but you could never tell by his performance on the court. So when you play the 15 under team white this season he will be easy to spot, because he is the one who just dunked on you.

Comments: The Head Lock ................
When I was a young kid and learning to defend myself, my favor move was the head lock, I guess the head lock was my only move. For those of you who don,t know what the head lock is I will tell you.The head lock is a move when you wrap your arm around your opponents neck and squeeze as tight as you can and as long as you have there neck and head theres nothing they can do no matter what happen as long as you hold on tight. Well this young man I,m about to tell you about is the leader of the head lock on the 15 under team white. 5'8 175 pounds and tough as nails and as fast as lighting point guard freshman (Frank Barthelemy) AKA POONK, plays varsity basketball for South west Christin academy. In his last performance he give his team a great boost by adding intense defense and 17 points and 5 asst in a losing effort. But that's just what I mean about this young man win are lose he will fight to the end, so for all you point guards that may encounter this young man, guard your neck because he knows the head kills the body, and he want let up.
