The Atlanta Select SILVER teams players above have completed tryouts and have been added to the rosters of their middle school teams, 2010-2011 season. These players are trained by a clutch of Coaches under the general management of Coach Baskerville with a principle coach assigned to each age group. The 2010 coaching group consists of Kenneth Powell 13U, Jerry Salley 13U, Yuseff Carpenter 12U, Jesse Baskerville 11U, Derrick Lottie 11U, Allen Christopher 10U.

During the season, these coaches maintained a rigorous schedule by applying collective synergy during practices and tournaments. The teams were exposed to tournament level play in 50-70 games during the season. Jeremy Salley number 35 above not only made the Tucker Middle team, he was named Co-Captain. Go Jeremy!

14u RED Team Players Selected to Play Middle/High School Ball

Coach Tony Burton announces that several of his 14u RED team players will be playing on high school teams this Fall.

Paul Webb (00) - Varsity/JV at Lanier HS.

Terrance Glenn (23) - South Gwinnett HS.

Tevin Ryles (6) - Freshman Team at GACS.

Kaleb Catching (32) - Center & PF at Berkmar HS.

Trey Lee (21) - SF on the JV/Freshman Team at Berkmar HS.

These young men traveled all over the United States last Summer, gaining experience playing against the best in the nation. I am positive that they will demonstrate their added skills on the basketball court for their schools this Fall.

The National Champs - All Made Their HS Teams.

The Atlanta Select 15u Boys Team RED won the YBOA Consolidation Division National Championship. Every member of this team coached by Coach Dionne Mason earned a position on their high school team.

They Made The Team - 14u Team WHITE North

We are excited to announce that all but one of the Atlanta Select 14u WHITE North team made their high school teams as freshman.

Jonathan Bucker, Jared Ijitimehin and Abed Nelson are playing on South Gwinnett's freshman team.

Kendall Joseph and R J Smith are playing on the freshman/JV and freshman teams, respectively, for Brookwood HS.

Hussein Kahrimanobic is playing on Central Gwinnett's freshman team.

Austin Morris is playing on Grayson's JV Team

while Marquis Bumpas is on the freshman team.

Isaiah Wilkins is playing for Parkview HS.

Trey Moore and Camden "Tank" Terry are playing freshman/JV and freshman, respectively, for Berkmar HS and Bradley Holmes will be playing JV/Varsity for Berkmar as a freshman.

We are ecstatic because these boys worked very hard this past summer to improve their skills. Thanks to Coach Ayers for his dedication and support. It is going to be interesting watching these Atlanta Select players compete against each other during this high school season.

The Atlanta Select 16u RED Team players made their high school teams. They will be making an impact throughout the metropolitan area of Atlanta.

The Atlanta Select 13u Boys Team BLACK 8732 (Coaches G. Stewart and Gates)have had an extremely successful year. They have been honored as being the 17th best team in the nation by AAU. All members made their school's team. The nine that are pictured are:

Atlanta Select Players Selected For South Gwinnett HS Basketball Teams

The head basketball coach (Scott Bracco)at South Gwinnett High School has selected six Atlanta Select players for his Freshman and JV teams this season.
Jerry Vincent, Gerald Washington, KV Walker all 9th graders and Alex Johnson (10th grade) and Shirquan Henry (11th grade)will be playing for Coach Kantrail the JV coach. Dante Hibbert (9th grade) will be playing on the Freshman team for Coach Howell.

All of these young men worked extremely hard over the last season. They played for either Coach Vincent's Atlanta Select 14u WHITE North or Coach Mason's 15u Atlanta Select RED. They also participated in the high school summer league with South Gwinnett HS. Dante, Jerry, Gerald and KV were four out of five Freshman that were invited to begin training with the varsity team at the beginning of the school year while others had to wait until tryouts. Others trained with several other coaches to include our own Coach Jason Brown, 14u WHITE North Assistant Coach.

The coaching staff at South Gwinnett has expressed their excitement of working with these young men and are eager to see their development on the court over the next four years. We are proud of these Atlanta Select players and positive that they will perform well in the classroom and the court this season. Go Select.
