This is frank and Jaquan from the 14 under white. We just left the Above the Rim showcase. We had to step up to the challenge and we played 16 and 17 under. We ended up the runner up, but the hold point is our team wasn't afraid of the challenge. The word we came up with is FEARLESS!

for increasing the trophy count and earning a bid for the AAU Nationals at the

Super Regional event this weekend.

ATTENTION!

13u Boys looking for a team, tryouts/workouts will be held on Tuesday, March 31 at 6:30 PM at the Fuqua Boys & Girls Club, 405 Lovejoy Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30313, near the Georgia Aquarium.

 A second workout will held on Thursday, April 2, at the same location and time. For more information contact Coach Davis at 925-522-9511.

ATTENTION!

A shout out to Mr. Robert Dozier and his family.

 Read in today's AJC of the house fire that destroyed their home in Lithonia in February. The bright spot is that their son, Robert Dozier, Jr., will be playing tonight in the NCAA tournament for Memphis and that they will be watching, cheering and routing for Memphis to advance to the "Final Four" and the NCAA Championship.

  Mr. Dozier's other son, Michael, played for Atlanta Select a few years ago, thus, the Dozier family were members of the Atlanta Select family and we believe once an "Atlanta Select" always an "Atlanta Select".

We wish the best for the Dozier family, glad to know they are recovering from the tragic event last month and we hope they will be traveling to Detroit soon.

What Happen and What's Happening!

Two teams won championships last weekend.

A shout out to the 15u Boys Team Black for being the first Atlanta Select team to qualify for the AAU Nationals this year.

This team has played in two AAU Super Regionals and have lost only one game. Check out the team in action by clicking on the link on the team's home page.

A shout out to the 12u Boys Team Black for being the first Atlanta Select team to win a YBOA tournament this year, going undefeated in the March Madness in Canton, GA last weekend. 

This team finished in the top percentage at the AAU Nationals last year and thus qualified for an automatic bid this year.  This team will be traveling to Miami, Florida next week to participate in the South Beach Showcase.

They will be traveling with the Lady Select 16u Team Red as these ladies will also participate in the South Beach Showcase in Miami.
