Comments: Congratulations to the 4 Atlanta Select teams (10u Boys Black, 12u Boys Black, 13u Boys Silver and 17u Boys Red)that participated in the Georgia Tarheels "Back to School" Tournament this past weekend. You all won trophies. I have posted some pictures on our 'facebook' page and they will be posted in the "Trophy Case" also. Comments: To Nolan and his team mates on the mighty 14u Boys Team WHITE, coached by Coach Lanier. Welcome home and thanks for representing the Atlanta Select at the AAU 14u Division I Nationals in Florida. We are all extremely proud of you. Your team has won six trophies this season but did not win one in Florida. Always remember, "trophies gather dusk, but memories last forever". I am positive that the friendships developed and SYNERGY displayed will always last forever, a much more valuable entity than a trophy. Congratulations to 14u Boys Team WHITE, you excepted no excuses, made the trip, represented yourselves well, arrived home safely and we all are proud of you. Coach Z.

my u14 white team just got back from the nationals in Orlando. even though we didnt play as well as we could of, it was still a very positive experience. scouts were all over the gym watching players both on and off the court so we not only had to play well, but we also had to act responsible. the competition was tough so we were a little nervous but next year we will come and play even better. this tournament has also made our team get to know each other better. we all had a great experience in Orlando and hopefully we will do it again next year. thank you coach Lanier for spending your time and money to get us there and thank you coach Z for making it all happen.

Comments: To Jayson,
The 13u Boys Team Black success at the Nationals was posted on the "Trophy Case" several weeks ago. No entry has been made in the "Current News" reference the success of several of our teams at the Nationals. Once all the teams have competed in the "Nationals" they all will be properly recognized. Thanks for your keen observation and being a supportive Atlanta Select.
By the way your team was highlighted in the Atlanta Select NEWS email dated July 24, 2009. If you did not received it from your team send me an email address at gzeigler9@aol.com and I will send you a copy.
Coach Z.
